The Austin Blessings Co-op is a collaboration of people and organizations on a mission to meet our city’s practical, emotional, and spiritual needs.

Whether it’s one afternoon of serving in a month, or 20 hours every week, we rely on an extraordinary group of volunteers from all over Austin to meet the needs of our neighbors. If you’d like to volunteer, sign up below.

 
 

Harvest Blessings Food Pantry

Harvest Blessings Food Pantry, one of the largest in Central Texas, provides good, healthy, and fresh food to people from every walk of life who are suffering food insecurity. We create a venue for our neighbors to serve or be served, just as they are, right where they are.

Volunteer Opportunities

  • HBFP Food Bagging & Assembly: Sorting, assembling and bagging produce in preparation for food distribution shift. Indoor position.

  • HBFP Drive Through Food Distribution: Load patrons' cars with food, provide encouragement and fellowship. Outdoor position.

  • HBFP Walk Up Food Distribution: Greet, electronically check-in and serve Walk Up Food Pantry Patrons. Outdoor position.

  • HBFP Patron Check In: Greet and electronically check-in registered Food Pantry Patrons. Outdoor position. Spanish speaking skills would be a huge plus!

  • HBFP Prayer Support: Pray with patrons who are seeking spiritual support. Spanish speaking skills would be a huge plus!

  • HBFP Traffic Control: Assist with directing and managing traffic on site. Outdoor position.

  • Blessing Bag Assembly: Bagging and boxing "Blessing Bags" to add to Harvest Blessings Food Pantry Distribution.

  • Kindness Coffee Assembly: The Kindness Coffee ministry turns donated premium coffee from around the world into 8-ounce bags with heartfelt notes, shared weekly with food pantry patrons across East and South Austin to provide both comfort and encouragement. Contact Tori Rawson for more details.

Woven Blessings Clothing Ministry

Woven Blessings Boutique provides new and gently used clothes at affordable prices for anyone in our Central Texas community.  This unique ministry relies on volunteer roles three days per week, including but not limited to: sorting, washing, drying, hanging and displaying clothing & accessory donations in the Boutique or at the Free Clothing Giveaway and connecting with our beloved patrons. It may sound like a lot, but many hands make light work, and we’re proud to have some incredible hands helping us keep Austin clothed.

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

  • Woven Blessings Boutique: Cashiers, Greeters and Shopping Assistants

  • Woven Blessings FREE Clothing Giveaway: Assisting in setup, take down, clothes organization, and patron "shopping" during our clothing giveaway event

  • In-Kind Donation Sorting: Sorting through the various items which have been donated to Austin Blessings Co-op throughout the week. Sorting occurs at Riverbend Church.

  • Woven Blessings Boutique Makeup Workshop:

    • Next Dates - Saturdays, Jan 31, May 30, Aug 29 and Oct 31

    • Austin Reconciliation Church, 7000 Cameron Road

    • A caring workshop for Woven Blessings patrons that teaches how to apply and wear a wide assortment of donated makeup. Each attendee receives makeup, a mirror, and brushes. The workshop emphasizes that every woman is important, valued, uniquely created, and deeply loved by Jesus.

Baby Blessings Ministry

Baby Blessings is pleased to provide diapers, feminine products, and an assortment of baby related products to the Austin community every week. We know that your little ones are important to you, and they are important to us. At Baby Blessings, we strive to facilitate a brighter future for the next generation while uplifting families throughout our city. If you feel called to serve with us, we are so thankful that you’re here!

Volunteer Opportunity

  • BB Diaper Distribution: Adding one week’s supply of diapers and feminine products to the food distribution line and distributing those to the requesting patrons.

Blessings Delivered Ministry

Blessings Delivered is a mobile-intensive ministry that focuses on delivering fresh groceries and clean clothes throughout the greater Austin area directly to people’s front doors. This ministry was born out of a desire to deliver physical, emotional, and spiritual support for our patrons who are unable to travel. The focus is on two primary demographics: people with disabilities and those experiencing homelessness. Our delivery teams work weekly to ensure their needs are met.

Volunteer Opportunities

  • Homebound: Assembling and delivering delicious, fresh food to patrons in South Austin who are unable to attend a food pantry.

  • Homeless: Packing and delivering delicious, fresh food and clothing to our friends residing at The Other Ones Foundation.

Community First Village

This ministry provides affordable, permanent housing and a supportive community for individuals coming out of chronic homelessness.

Volunteer Opportunities

  • CFV Monthly Dinners: Volunteers will be serving a delicious dinner, with dessert and drinks to the residents at Community First Village.

Hopefully Sow

Hopefully Sow is a ministry that plants seeds of love, joy, and aspiration in the lives of children and teens in foster care across the Austin area. Through creative, relationship-centered experiences, volunteers help foster youth feel seen, supported, and encouraged.

Volunteer Opportunities

Art Classes
Youth explore creativity through hands-on art stations while volunteers assist with set up, clean up, and encouragement. No artistic experience needed — just a caring presence.

Cooking in Community
Volunteers partner with foster teens to prepare a simple homemade meal, offering guidance, encouragement, and sharing time together around the table.

ABC Special Projects highlight one-time volunteer opportunities that arise throughout the year. These projects may include special events, service days, donation drives, campus improvements, and other unique ways to serve our community.
